If anyone had any doubts about whether Xabi Alonso’s ability as a manager has faded over time, the Spaniard answered any questions during Bayer Leverkusen’s clash with Club Brugge.
The former Liverpool midfielder killed a lofted ball off the side of the pitch with a delicious first touch that had the CBS Sports studio drooling, and with good reason.
It’s been a mixed start to life in the hot seat of Bay Arena for the 40-year-old, though we hope he gets enough time to show off his coaching prowess.
