Tottenham could be without the talent of star striker Son Heung-Min after it emerged the South Korea international is undergoing “further examinations” for an injury sustained during a dramatic 2-1 win over Marseille.
This report comes courtesy of a tweet from PA sportswriter Jonathan Veal before Spurs host Liverpool at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at the weekend.
Son Heung-min has more tests on his injury today. His eye was very swollen last night. Players, who landed at 4am, have today and tomorrow free as a reward for last night’s progression. #THFC

The 30-year-old appears to have recovered (as far as his performances are concerned) following early questions about his form at the start of the campaign.

Having suffered a number of injuries to key areas throughout the season, we can only sympathize with the London-based outfit’s plight.
Certainly no one really wants to watch a football match without the best talent available on the pitch and we wish Son a speedy recovery ahead of our trip to the English capital on Sunday.
For our part, Jordan Henderson was absent thanks to a precaution taken by medical staff, while Ibrahima Konate made a welcome return to the starting eleven in a 2-0 win over Napoli.
