Arsenal news: The Gunners showed interest in signing Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk during the summer transfer window.
Mudryk has established himself as one of Europe’s most promising wingers since breaking into the Donetsk senior team. He has played 20 league games for the Ukrainian club so far, scoring two.
He helped Donetsk win the Ukrainian Premier League in 2019-20. His performances at the “Olympiyskiy” National Sports Complex drew the attention of clubs all over Europe and he could leave the club in January.
As well as Arsenal, Everton, Brentford and Sevilla were also heavily linked with him during the recently concluded transfer window.

Speaking to the media, the Shakhtar Donetsk winger expressed his desire to play for Arsenal.
He said, “Yes, yes. I think every player dreams of the Premier League. It’s hard to say, but Arsenal are a very good team, with a very good manager. I like the way they play. For my part, I can’t say no [to Arsenal] but a transfer does not depend only on my decision.”
The Gunners enjoyed a great summer transfer window in 2022. They have added Gabriel Jesus, Fabio Vieira, Alex Zinchenko, Matt Turner and Marquinhos to their squad.
Arteta also tried to sign a new winger during the closing days of the transfer window, with Pedro Neto and Mudryk the main targets. However, the transfer did not materialize and the Spaniard could try again in the January window.
The Gunners were told to sign Alexis Mac Allister
Former player Emmanuel Petit has urged Arsenal to sign Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton and Hove Albion following the departure of Graham Potter. The English manager has left the Seagulls to take charge of Chelsea as their new manager.
Mac Allister has been a consistent performer for Brighton since joining from Argentinos Juniors in 2019. He has made 69 league appearances for the south coast club so far, scoring 10 goals.
