The news that Jurgen Klopp’s team are even prepared to match any offer for the Argentinian is particularly interesting given the hefty price tag attached: a buyout clause worth £103m, according to a tweet by Fabrizio Romano.
The termination clause included in Enzo Fernández’s contract with Benfica amounts to 120 million euros. The Club has no intention of selling Enzo or letting him leave in January. ???????????? #transfers

Considering what Benfica spent to bring the midfielder to Portugal last summer, the Primeira Liga-based side looks poised to make an impressive profit on their star midfielder.
With the understanding that they are set to receive big interest in 2023, it might make some sense for both clubs to pursue the relationship that landed Darwin Nunez at Anfield for a potentially record-breaking deal in the summer that just ended. .
At £103m, of course, some may wonder if the Argentina international is merely an alternative to Jude Bellingham rather than being considered as an additional signing.
Given the quality of performances we’ve witnessed from Fernandez, if we can afford to bring the pair together in the future, it would be a winning statement from our recruiting team ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.
