International Stars in Action next week in UAE Warriors Double Header

Abu Dhabi: UAE Warriors welcome a host of international talent and rising prospects to Abu Dhabi next week for another action-packed weekend of mixed martial arts at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island.

‘UAE Warriors 32: Africa’ will take place on Friday, September 16, showcasing the best of African MMA. History will be made in the main event when Kevin Oumar of the Comoros (8-3) and Emilio Quissua of Angola (3-0) compete to become the UAE Warriors’ first ever African Light Heavyweight Champion. In the main event, undefeated Angolan Shido Esperanca (6-0) clashes with reigning UAE Warriors Saudi champion Badreddine Diani (4-2) of Morocco.

Sylvester Chipfumbu (8-4) of Zimbabwe and Jaures Dea (8-5) of ‘The Crazy Camerounian’ also collide in what could be a potential ‘Fight of the Night’ matchup.

Other notable names appearing on the undercard include former EFC champion Martin van Staden (20-12), undefeated prospect Muhidin Abubakar (3-0), EFC flyweight champion Luthando Biko (10-3) and the Promotional debut of ‘La Brutance Paul-Emmanuel Gnaze (4-1).

Overall, there will be more than ten African nations represented on the card.

The biggest rematch in UAE Warriors history will take place in the main event of ‘UAE Warriors 33’ the night after on Saturday, September 17, when featherweight champion Jesse Arnett (20-8) takes on his rival Ali Al-Qaisi (12-6).

Arnett will try to firmly establish himself as the undisputed champion, while AlQaisi hopes to recover from a medical stoppage to regain the belt and his triple champion status.

The UAE Warriors’ vacant welterweight title will be decided in the co-main event when Lebanese Josh Togo (11-4) takes on Tahir Abdullaev (13-1) in what promises to be a fierce stand-up exchange.

Elsewhere on the card, former TITAN FC Champion and DWCS veteran John Puerta (23-6) takes on Brazilian Iago Ribeiro (10-3), the always exciting Abdulla Al Bousheiri (8-3) collides with the ‘Road to UFC’ veteran and Big Brother contestant John Adajar (6-2) and top American prospect Tyler Ray (10-2) face a late replacement in undefeated Ali Iskender Aliev (4-0).

Both events will be broadcast live around the world on UFC FIGHT PASS.
